Sometimes I can not resist a good theological discussion.
But, friend, there has to be other life. God would not just relish his love on only one world would He?
Sure He would. Read the text recorded in Genensis chapter 1. The very first sentence states God created the Heavens and earth. This is what He created on the first day. It wasn't till the fourth day that He actually created the sun, moon, and other stars. Some argue that the "days" are not literal 24 hour periods, but representation periods of billions of years. So, in that context, the earth existed, along with the Heavens, for billions of years, while no stars, nor moons, nor other planets existed. It seems that the earth was relished with love, above the rest of the heavenly bodies.
Again, I think we are just one battle in an epic war of eons. If this is true, then there is no God. And there is no sin. There is no judgement. And there will never be peace in the universe. Just one long cosmic battle of balance.
BTW, where in the Bible does it say there is no other life in the Universe? Well, if there is life on other planets, we here on earth have at least a 4 day head start on the rest, if not billions years head start. cc |
