Flip TV interview yesterday, here's my brief summary. It was on WTTW in Chicago, they said more info could be found on their homepage, but I found nothing about Flip there:
wttw.com

Flip son of immigrants (from Poland??) and spoke no english till 1st grade. Dropped out of college.

He highly objected to people calling DVIN a "VC" or "incubator".

When interviewer said if "conglomerate" was more appropriate, Flip heartily agreed, with added qualification "but we are a new conglomerate, we don't fully acquire our companies"

praised Mayor Daley again (well, Daley wields more power than anyone realizes)

seeks to use Internet Zaibatsu to create "unfair" playing field for their advantage. will be an "undefeatable coalition". "all companies will look like this within 10 years"

predicts corporations will/should take over public schools

refers to affiliate companies as "component companies", which fits well with a zaibatsu model.
