re: your last comment, thats another thing amdahl is known for. fujitsu, amdahl's ~50% owner, has a ferocious appetite for what meager profits amdahl might be able to pull together. i've seen them charge $100 or so for rectangular slips of insulator, etc. they virtually rape the company and are using it as little more than a shell distribution outfit for its processor division. its an american tragedy on par with VCR technology. mr. amdahl basically gave the business away just to get started. that was the beginning of the end for him and the company. i'd be curious to see what will happen but i dont have my fingers crossed. i think their light burned out a long time ago...
