Dear Friend,

SJ and I went home for a visit two weeks ago and visited our friend a little before and a little after he spoke on John 3:16 where he pastors. It was the first time in 21 years she and I had ever attended church together. I was so happy, not only because we were there together, but also because she said tears came to her eyes during the service.

It was a few days later that I heard the news about Carol. I am sorry for the pain of all those who grieve the loss of her presence as she was such a kind person, but if she knows Jesus (and I don't doubt she did), I guarantee she isn't looking back.

I spoke to stan about signing up and coming on. He didn't sound to keen on the idea. I can't give a good reason, but I just don't like facebook. I miss my friends, I miss the people who actually know me through the good times and the not so good.

A few years ago, I was trusting the Lord to bring into my life the money to pay for the tree ripened oranges I love to give out during Christmas. A job came to me to do some leaf raking for a woman for whom I've done some yard work in the past. Before the job ended, the Lord spoke a name to me and let me know I was to give a portion of the money to the person. Honestly, I thought, "GOD, I need the money for the oranges." But I knew it was the HOLY SPIRIT, so instead of giving him a third, I gave him all the money ($60)

Later, needing a chain sharpened, he told me thanks for the money. He started to tell me why, but I interrupted and told him I didn't want to know. He told me anyway.

I know you're still wondering. Don't ask because it is a sin to lie.

I've got a letter to write to the local rag.

Love ya
