T, Wine at half price? That's a great deal.

Ah, if you learn wine snob talk, you can kiss several thousand dollars goodbye. It just goes that you will HAVE to try some wine Robert Parker rates a 97. And that will be really cheap. <VBG>

Seriously, wines rated from 84 to 91 by Parker are not that far apart, and you can often find bargains on those rated 87 and below, so that, IMHO, is smart wine buying. Paying $79 for a bottle of zin rated mid to high 90s is not.

I'm glad you like the Ravenswood. One of my cousins has some relationship to the winery, but he has never been sober enough to tell me the entire story. <G> Their single vineyard zins are amongst the most desired in the business, but the vintner's choice is a much more reasonably priced and very satisfactory substitute, IMHO.
