<The holy bible has for centuries been a book of varied interpretation and misunderstanding. It has been used as rationale for separation, segregation, violence, intolerance and so many of the ingredients that cause the major problems in our society today. I want to offer a different reading and interpretation of the bible that makes so much more sense than anything else that is commonly assumed to be properly interpreted. >

You can start by throwing out the Old Testiment and Revalations since they were included at the council of Nicea by some sort of political vote. They aren't Christs teachings and so why they are in the Christian bible is a wonderment to begin with. There are plenty of teachings attributed directly to Jesus Christ... wonder why all the TV evangelists and other bible thumpers feel the need to 'read the old testiment tea leaves'??? Why could Jesus declare a "New and Everlasting Covenant" if the OT was just fine?? The only excuse I"ve heard for the OT being included in the bible is Jesus statement that didn't come to denounce the old teachings but to declare new ones... considering he'd have been killed that much earlier if he hadn't said this, it seems to be dubious at best to assume he condoned the OT. There are oodles teachings attributed directly to Jesus... just WHY IS that silly OT even there if the religion is "CHRIST-ianity"??? Why not call it "Various profitsianity"?
