There's nothing "profound" about it.

The Russians have been working to reconstitute the Soviet "Union" for years now and the Georgians have given them the first real opportunity to start the process.

The IDIOT Bush Administration "egged" these guys on, just like they have egged on every other former Soviet satellite country.

NOW, when it comes down to the "nitty gritty", Bush and his buddies will "backoff" all the good talk and do nothing of substance.
