I'm still waiting on Brazil's ANP next oil & gas block auction. GTE has a new office in Rio de Janerio and will no doubt make some offers. For a small cap GTE is cash rich $293 MM in cash. Any other public small cap oil companies with current operations in Brazil?

Which presidential candidate would be most supportive of international investment in the oil and gas industry?

My thought is the major oil and gas companies are focusing on the ultra deep sub-salt Campos and Santos blocks and if ANP has another land concessions good smaller on-shore oil blocks may be offered at competitive prices. I'm not aware of many Canadian and US traded companies that have oil production in Brazil.

The bidding both price and number of offers in Colombia's 2010 ANH block concession showed significant interest in investing in oil operations in Colombia.
