Wednesday June 25 12:28 PM EDT Company Press Release NP Energy makes announcement VANCOUVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1997--NP Energy Corp. announces reports received from the company's joint venture partner in Andacollo Gold Projects in Chile. Frontier International Resources Inc. has agreed to contract the services of A.C.A. Howe International to develop and implement a full geological program for the Andacollo gold project. A.C.A. Howe International is a mining and geological consulting firm with offices in Toronto, London, Denver, and La Serena, Chile. In other developments, company geologists have released the results of a bulk sampling program recently completed on the Mercedes, Andacollo property. Results are as follows: -0- Sample Au/g/t Sample Au/g/t LM1 + 150/-150 2.15 LM10 + 150/-150 5.61 LM2 + 150/-150 .33 LM11 + 150/-150 1.76 LM3 + 150/-150 .03 LM12 + 150/-150 .29 LM4 + 150/-150 1.32 LM13 + 150/-150 .28 LM5 + 150/-150 3.75 LM14 + 150/-150 .35 LM6 + 150/-150 1.18 LM15 + 150/-150 .69 LM7 + 150/-150 4.50 LM16 + 150/-150 .93 LM8 + 150/-150 1.88 LM17 + 150/-150 1.57 LM9 + 150/-150 1.34 LM18 + 150/-150 .11 These samples were taken to confirm drill results as released by Aurex in their report dated March 1, 1994. Results of that drill program are as follows: ``Fifteen holes were drilled on the Mercedes claim. The results of the Mercedes' drill program are shown on Figure 6 through 15 as drill profiles. The drilling defines rock types that contain gold or are barren. The geologic resource on this claim suggests a potential for about 1.2 to 1.5 million tonnes of mineralized material.''
