Thanks Rich , QT for Games and more , Sony's baloney except for IE1394

In some of the AIM partnership discussion postings here , both IBM and MOT made it clear AAPL retained a (compatability) review role in embedded PowerPC products .

Matsushita is aiming towards a home network product which may be founded on Nintendo's PowerPC leading me to believe it is not a specific and limited function chip.

If so a OS will be needed . Assuming Matsushita favors DVDs and AAPL is moving there in its latest models it seems QT with a GUI on a PowerPC could become at least a games "OS" , but more hopefully a resident MacOS would appear .

Sony is clearly in the INTC camp . If the 3 AAPL zecks went to Japan (MacWorld) to make a deal it hasn't shown yet with Sony . A default assumption is it was a SJ headfake and Nintnedo was visited then .

Time will tell , but the DVD's capability as a sole data storage device is intriguing .
