Stan, when the Asian economic crisis first appeared there was a lot of denial about the economic impact on our economy. Now Wall Street is facing up to the implications, and technology stocks are taking a hit. Many of the companies that WIND sells to have declined in share price, so it should not be a surprise that the same is happening to WIND.

In particular, the Asian turmoil has raised concerns about the telecommunications/networking sector, which is one of WIND's prime markets. And if the overall economy suffers, WIND could see reduced demand in the office automation and consumer markets.

OTOH, WIND has many positives such as the I2O roll-out, and the expected acceleration of cable-modem deployment this year. It is a premier franchise company that I feel is ideal for a long-term investment. When the Asia situation arose I evaluated my holdings and closed out several positions, but I will hold on to WIND.

Given the shaky state of the markets, I suspect WIND will be testing support at 30 one of these days. I may buy some at that level.
