This is typical Emcore hype. They have a press release every three or four days. Who cares if Nakamura bought their GaN reactor; it's like Cross saying Einstein bought their pen to write his theory of general relativity...no relevance at all, IMO. What matters more is that Nitres is venturing onto the same playing field with Cree, albeit with a several year handicap. They have advantages, though: Nakamura's expertise, and Vitesse semiconductor's backing (Vitesse's CEO is chairman of Nitres investor board). Cree better keep moving--the rest of the sharks are moving as well...
