Novell provides full consumer service in Brazil

Novell has recently opened a consumer service facility in Brazil. It will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week backed by a well-developed infrastructure. It will be similar to the one the company owns in Utah, US. The Brazilian facility demanded investments of US$2mil over a 12-month term. It will start providing services to the other Latin American countries as of the 2nd semester of 1999. Software developer Image Pro acquired the Rio de Janeiro-based softwarehouse Open Office, which had its tradename changed to Image Pro Rio. Image Pro posted aturnover of US$5mil last year. Image Pro Rio is predicted to grow 60% in 1999.
