Great listen, Thanks for posting it,
- My wife disagrees with his DDT assertion in that humans (not birds) were affected by continued DDT use.
- "Television is dead" More ads that we don't want to see.
- Industrial revolution was marked by the lowering price of horsepower.
- Transistors $7 a piece 40 years ago, now a millionth of cent today on dynamic random access memory.
- We treated our computer as if they were cars in a jungle.
- Scarity of the era is bandwidth.
- Visited LU factory in Norcross GA. LU can put a 10B Bits/sec of information on a single wavelength of light. can put 1000 wavelengths of light on a single fibre optic thread. 864 fibres in a single cable. A single cable has 8.6Petabytes/sec of information. More information than entire internet carried 2yrs ago in month.

Wish more of his speeches would be cataloged like this. We always seem to waste opportunities to record thoughts. I must have given 1000 speeches. Be nice to remember what I said sometimes. Glad this one made it to achives.
Jack
