'The Future of Digital TV': Conference

First: Are you really a travel agent ?? if so send me your e-mail adress. I have a couple places I would like to go (when I get one of those $99 bargains)

I read this post and wanted to know if perhaps my "vivid Imagination" was working ovvertime.
For example ...Westinghouse (who owns CBS.. which I follow closely) is selling off almost everything. They are adding radio stations and is the only major network to commit to HDTV. I am aware that part of this is just simply to retire debt ...but could the second angle be to raise the necessary cash to go ahead and put in the best system first and possibly be the "dark horse" in this network race to digital ??
I mention this because of the huge investment required to convert to HDTV. It is making the other networks balk on digital, like the original agreement with congress that was recently debated so fiercely and made a couple of networks have to withdraw some comments about maybe not doing digital at all.
Is it too early to say that the first network to offer complete digital to the public may have a tremendous market advantage?

a little off subject ..but curosity prevails !
