but yeah i know what its like. if ur in a rural town (albeit 150 years ago GV/NC was bigger than Los angeles), u get your service restored last.

Look up W. J. (a resident of your town, pm me for the name). He's got a generator deal whereby he gets power when the grid has none to give).

u might want to get such a setup, or if nothing else, a solar setup. solar costs about $10k (or it used to).
