Steve, it is a shame to pour drivel like this out on a public thread...

I had just about finished a whole thing to you on Pompous and Autocratic being nicely received, and on my own claim to baselessness and irrationality.

Then, somehow, I zapped the whole thing.

It is a delight to be in touch with you again. I must add that you still do not gather my reaction to Clinton. It had nothing to do with his actions, but with the fact that he could act under circumstances that he was certainly aware of.

On the amorality, or insensitivity, or selfishness of the Great - do we all have to accede so easily. (In my zapped post, I talked about scoreless, non-winning, soccer games for 12-and-unders in Massachusetts, and Japanese liking ballgames more than ballgame winners.)
