zeuspaul, overclocking works really great, at least for me. i do overclocking for 1 year right now and have no probs at all.
my asus t2p4 board runs at a bus speed of 83 Mhz, no probs with my matrox cards, scsi controller, hard disk and network card. no probs with nt/win95/win98.
of course there is no guarantee that overclocking works, so you actually cant 'plan' it. my advice is to start with an old system and do some experimenting. i would like to cite thomas pabst:
Although there are millions of tales of damaged CPUs and other system components, in most cases overclocking is completely harmless. There are, however, a few things to take into consideration.
