So your view of deflation is that you can call something a deflation if prices sag for a few months -- that is deflation? How short a time can this hold true? If prices sag for a week, is that deflation? How about for a day?

Inflation and deflation refer to persistent trends, not points in time especially when measured over such tiny time scales.
