Well how about a backpack then? But I think you're completely missing my point. I get it that people today are using guns. Because there are lots of them - but even if they disappeared tomorrow, there would still be mass killings.

I just ran through a mental checklist of neighbors, friends and family - those I know well. I couldn't come up with a single household that doesn't own guns. There are a few women in a household that don't approve of guns but for every one of them there are probably three or so other women who actively shot guns. In my part of the world - guns are a non issue. They are a part of life. I get it that people in other parts of the Country may feel different, but when they try to push their ideology on me - and all the others living here - all they do is push these people into the ranks of the politically more conservative. Because these gun owners think guns are a part of their life - which they most definitely are - they think those who are anti-guns are just plain looney. That's the point I'm trying to make. Wharf, these are not bad people. They are not evil nor are they right wing wackos. These that I just checked off in my mental list are good and honest and hard working normal people. Why in God's name liberals want to alienate them mystifies me. When you do alienate them, you shouldn't be surprised at what the political climate is we end up with.
