Mike, The short term signal on the MACD is a very relative phenomenon. The actual value of the signal is not the relevant point. It's what the MACD is doing rather than where it's doing it that matters for that kind of signal. There's several ways to use the MACD and it's best to have a definite idea of how you want to use it before putting money behind it. It's good that you're asking questions. The generality of your question makes it tough to provide you any kind of answer you can sink your teeth into though. Doug R
