Dear Sam:
How is Blake doing; I would love to get an updated report.
I am praying over your finances. Sam, in my opinion relationships cannot be distinguished from wealth. God is not calling us to high incomes but in Deut 8:18 he says He gives us the power to get wealth so that he can establish His covenant agreement with us.Without wealth it is difficult have an established relationship with God. First we have the wealth of a relationship with Him. Then we have the security of a covenant agreement, in writing...
Go to court with an oral argument; a written agreement is a 100 times better. Covenants are wealth, with a covenant you can lose or gain property or houses or lands or valuables.
Then we have the wealth of family relationships, with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Prayer with and for our relatives in Christ can save on medical bills, educational bills, losses being returned, jobs , careers , you name it..our relationship cannot be differentiated from wealth..you are rich, if you were poor in the past , you are no longer poor, just in relationships you are already worth millions.
Poverty may have been on your shoulders for a long time but NO MORE DO YOU HEAR ME..you are not poor in Christ. Just on the basis that you know the Lord you are rich.
Let me tell you a little about how to be FULLY in Gods will where your finances are concerned. Earthly lawyers got the idea of the the consideration of the contract from God. Without consideration a contract is null and void. For the consideration of one dollar I do "hereby grant convey and sell to Sam my house", my car and all my valuables". Do you know what that one dollar just did. It is a nominal amount but it conveys to you my sincerity that I will really do what I am telling you I will do.
Thus is the tithe and offering. A nominal amount to God but it conveys to God that I intend to keep all the clauses and every term and condition in the contract. God then knows I mean some serious business and He really gets the blessings coming to me in high gear. If I just give 5% ,it conveys to God I only intend on keeping 1/2 of the terms and conditions of our covenant agreement.
Did you know the tithe is actually Gods, it is not yours. So that giving the tithe is like returning Gods wallet that you have come to possess. Therefore the offering is yours . Do not neglect the offering even if it is only 5 dollars, of a basket of fruit or a quilt, or an offering of work around Gods house weeding or cutting grass, whatever.
I gave an offering over my tithe last week, to a family that ( Jacob ) a two year old little boy with thousands in medical bills....I do not think that it has to go to your church; an individual in need is good enough; I could get some very convincing arguments that an offering has to go to your church or a church but I do not feel this way . I had a great week business wise and I was happy I could help out.
So I hope I helped in some way. When we are born again we are born with a silver spoon in our mouths. It may take a while to start receiving your full inheritance , because God has much to teach us in the meantime, but be like a fox, study, approve yourself, listen closely when the Lord speaks to you and be obedient where your finances are concerned and watch your blessings multiply before your very eyes....In Christ.Greg |
