New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs are awesome. No residual sugar to speak of but fairly bursting with fruit and what I sense as a jalapeno zestiness. Many have close to cult status worldwide now. Think Cloudy Bay (which I once heard described as cat pee on a mulberry bush).

I think Rieslings should be left to the Germans. Oregon does makes some good Alsatian type wines though.
