Update on my "someone's" different phone lines and the issue of me hearing an echo (when calling him from my wireless phone) -- His carrier(s) for both local and long distance are identical on all phone lines (!) But ... His phones in his house (the actual piece of equipment) are cheap, icky models (AT&T, by the way). His work phones are all high quality, expensive models. I will try calling his home number, and having him pick up out in the garage (his office) ... later. Jon.
