Although there are still a few true and honorable Conservatives battling for their ideas in Congress, overall I'd say yes.........far too many members of the party have degenerated into a bunch of hustlers and operators.

This applies equally to both sides. AFAIK most of them are hustlers and operators, and if they aren't when they get there, it doesn't take long for them to get there.

I was very disappointed when it became clear that Fred Thompson just didn't have the stamina to proceed with his campaign.
