Bill, I saw "Breaking the Waves". It is truly an art film, replete with hand-held cameras. Some people have had to leave theatres because they became too dizzy to watch. Besides that, the subject matter is just plain grim, although points with which I agree with are made about insular small-town life and the negativity of narrow religious views. The performances are stunning, especially that of the female lead. While it may be one of the best films of the year, it is in no way entertaining or pleasant to watch. I don't think it would be a very good date movie, for example!! Drop back by and let us know what you thought of it!! Christine
