The Germans don't need any pause, that is what they have had for too many years now already.

What Germany needs and needs badly and in a hurry is a serious dose of tax reductions. Here they should - but most likely never would - look closer at the US model as it was started under Ronald Reagan.

An even better option would be to take a close look at what their own tax guru Kirchhoff has proposed. A flat 25% tax with no special deductions allowed by anybody.
