SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 1997--IGS Technologies Inc. today
announced the design-in of its CyberPro TVDirect Multimedia Accelerators in the Cyrix Media
Center, the newly announced state-of-the-art entertainment center reference platform from Cyrix
Corporation.
Both IGS Technologies and Cyrix expect the Media Center to change the way people live and enjoy
their life at home.
Cyrix Media Center
The Cyrix Media Center is an all-in-one integrated media control center that will centralize the
operation of the TV, DVD/VCR, game station, computer, telephone and other home electronics and
communications devices. The power to create a surround-sound cinema, a virtual-reality video
arcade, a telecommunications control center and a global information gateway will be available -- all
from one powerful Media Center.
CyberPro Multimedia Accelerators in the Media Center
The CyberPro 2010 (and its derivative products) that is designed in the Cyrix Media Center
provides all the multimedia video and graphics acceleration, Macrovision for DVD playback and
worldwide TV display capabilities. These features enable the Media Center to provide the high
quality video capture from cable TV and VCR, video phone application using a camcorder,
picture-in-picture viewing, simultaneous dual-display support and graphics acceleration for computer
and games.
