Nice thread. Here's my pick. MDEA. Media 100/Terran Interactive. Leaders in encoding software. Media 100 was a dying company (just like Avid) but bought Terran. Terran makes Media Cleaner Pro, which allows one to turn video into MPEGS, Real Player movies, Real Audio Files, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and Streaming formats. They are the leaders by a few laps. Every up and coming internet content provider uses their software, which costs a couple thousand bucks. MDEA will be using their newly inflated stock price to buy companies (like their recent acquisition of Wired Inc) that have excellent encoding software, codecs. My target is 80+, my valuation based on ADBE, MACR, and ALLR, particularly ALLR. Institutions hold over 40% of the float on MDEA. They adore market leading software companies. I hope it tanks this week and gets below 20 so I can add to my position. Good luck to all!
