Should shareholders' money be used to sue shareholders for posting on the net?

This is the question raised by the lawsuit that, according to published reports, has been filed in the name of FRG against some of its own shareholders (and, apparently, against various persons known only by their internet monikers from icefi).

This suit is a threat to all of us.

All SI members are urged to write their Congresspersons and senators to demand legislation to deter anti-free-speech litigation paid for with our money. Provisions should include (a) payment by the directors and officers from their own funds of the legal and other costs of both sides if the suit is found to be without merit against any of the parties named as defendants, and (b) punitive damages and disqualification from corporate office in a publicly traded company against the officers and directors if they are found to be attempting to suppress free speech under color of federal laws or regulations.
