Obama aide: We aren't holding back on superdelegate endorsements
USA TODAY

Tim Russert at NBC News and Marc Ambinder at TheAtlantic.com have both reported that Barack Obama's campaign has enough Democratic superdelegates who have quietly agreed to support him that come next week -- no matter what happens at Saturday's meeting of the party's Rules & Bylaws Committee and the season-ending primaries in Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota -- he'll be able to say he's got the nomination wrapped up.

During a conference call earlier today, Jill asked Obama campaign manager David Plouffe if the reports are true and he said "that's not accurate:"

Of note, though: Plouffe did say "it's natural that next week you'll see a lot of superdelegates who have not made a decision make a decision."

A hint of things to come?
