I'll tell you right now, that I'd give up all my honor and all my pride and everything I possess, if I thought it would save the life of a son of mine in war.

But what if those methods more or less insure sufficient hatred of the USA that your son's sons and their son's ... keep dying in small numbers for generations.

I think the use of drones is being done very poorly, because in the countries like the middle east that have all this BS about killing with honor, the idea of civilians (CIA) remotely raining death on them from within nice offices safely inside the USA is likely going to breed everlasting hatred. And the problem is that while drones currently are very successful, technology changes in spurts.

Its useful to keep in mind that the technology in $100 consumer toys is not far off from what is need to make remotely piloted drones which could fly 1000's of miles and randomly kill civilians in other countries. Model airplane buffs have flown their planes across the Atlantic. That is scary to me.

What goes around comes around.
