SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1997--

Iomega's New clik!(TM) Personal Storage Device and Zoran's

Industry-Leading Compression Technology Deliver Innovative

Solution to OEMs

Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ:ZRAN) and Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM) today
announced they are forming an alliance to deliver revolutionary, low-cost, portable
digital
photography solutions.

The alliance will focus on combining Iomega's new clik!(TM) personal storage device
announced
today with Zoran's industry leading JPEG compression technology to provide an
integrated
advanced solution to digital photography OEMs. The combination of Zoran's and
Iomega's
technologies in a digital camera will offer consumers the highest quality pictures at by
far the lowest
cost in the industry.

Today's digital cameras are easy to use and connect to PCs, but store a limited number
of pictures,
which must be downloaded to a PC or stored on disk or memory card before more
photographs
can be taken. In addition, many digital cameras which do not use Zoran's technology
often require
a long delay between shots.

Combining Zoran's JPEG compression technology with Iomega's clik! product family
will result in
powerful, flexible and low-cost digital photography solutions. Digital cameras gain
unlimited
picture-taking capacity through low-cost, removable storage, while Zoran's ICs allow
rapid or
full-motion picture-taking and more high-quality images per disk. This enables digital
cameras to
achieve true portability, without the processing delay and PC incompatibility of
film-based
cameras.

"Iomega has enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Zoran on our Buz product,
and we are
looking forward to further strengthening our strategic alliance with our digital
photography solution,"
said Michael Lundgren, General Manager of Iomega's Mobile Storage Division for
Iomega Corp.

"Zoran's field-proven compression technology is already in use in many of today's
market-leading
digital cameras and video editing products. The alliance and high level of cooperation
between the
companies will enable us to powerfully leverage our new clik! product," added
Lundgren.

"Working together with Zoran's advanced JPEG compression technology, Iomega's 40
Megabyte
capacity clik! disk will store unlimited very high-quality, high-resolution digital
photographs on
$9.95 disks," said Dr. Shmuel Farkash, Marketing Director, Zoran Corporation.

"The high capacity of the clik! in conjunction with Zoran's real-time JPEG technology
enables the
capture of several minutes of motion clips for low-data rate transmission, such as the
Internet, etc.
Iomega and Zoran's combined products will make it easy for editors and Web
designers to move
still images and video between digital cameras and PCs."

Zoran's full line of JPEG ICs, including a JPEG codec (ZR36060), PCI controller
(ZR36067) and
other products provide complete, ready to implement solutions for portable handheld
devices and
PC platforms. Zoran's JPEG solutions are capable of being used in applications such
as video
capture, video editing, color printers, scanners, digital still cameras, video conferencing,
security
and medical imaging products.

A key feature of Zoran's JPEG products is its patented Bit-Rate-Control. This
breakthrough
technology enables the predictability of memory size and data communications
bandwidth required
for compressing images of varying complexity. This results in superior image quality
and system
reliability. A complete family of JPEG chips as well as reference boards and software
are available
from Zoran.
