The trick with morphine to get addicted is first to really need it (and not to get enough) and then to be able to get it before you need it. My guess is you usually get just enough just in time.
The real problem is going to come with cheap synthetic endorphins. How can the DEA forbid the prescription of a truly natural human product. Everyone sitting around like they just completed a 5k meter run and been laid on the top of Everest -- and not even breathing hard.
