John Kerry Said “Bring It On”, Now Whines To Bush To Stop The Ads
By Sher Zieve Aug 24, 2004
Even though Senator John Kerry said “Bring It On”, he has been sniveling for weeks that President Bush should denounce those mean and nasty Swift Boat Vets for Truth ads against him. Kerry can’t handle the truth…that’s become inordinately evident. Kerry continues to refuse to answer any of the charges made by his former crewmates. Could that be because they’re true? This continuing bizarre behavior from Kerry, probably reminds John O’Neill of the time a mine exploded in Nam; the time Kerry turned tail, revved up his Swift Boat engines and took off like a bat (knocking Jim Rassman over the side?). But, I digress. President Bush, today, said: “I hope my opponent joins me in saying - condemning these activities of the 527s. It's - I think they're bad for the system. That's why I signed the bill, McCain-Feingold."
Now that President Bush has done the honorable thing in denouncing the ads against Kerry, the logical next step would be for John Forbes Kerry to denounce his less-than-truthful 527-funded attack ads against the President. Right? Not so fast. Team Kerry believes they have an "out". Kerry surrogate and “Veep” candidate, John Edwards, countered the President's comments with: "The moment of truth came and went, and the president still couldn't bring himself to do the right thing." Huh? This proves, once again, that nothing President Bush can do (other than handing the presidency to John Kerry on a platinum platter) will satisfy these pretenders to the office. Expect Kerry to condemn his attack ads? Please don’t hold your breath. Kerry will not denounce his 527 contributor’s attack ads, those from MoveOn.org and “Grandpappy George” Soros. Rather, he’ll say that “because President Bush didn’t follow my script I don’t have to do anything I don’t want to do!” Kerry and Edwards are truly petulant men. That’s one of the defining differences between a Leader (President Bush) and a follower-lackey (Kerry). Leaders step up to the plate while followers brush the plate off for the leaders’ feet.
As many of us know, the ads aired by the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth have been approved and authorized by, at least, 254 former “Swifties”. The book Unfit For Command supports the statements made and conclusions drawn by these vets. The Kerry attack ads, however, blast President Bush for “allowing” these ads to air. Kerry and the DNC have made it very clear that they want and “expect” President Bush to censor the ads. That’s not allowed, Mr. Kerry, under the US Constitution. Do you recall that document? Do you still remember the First Amendment and Free Speech? On a daily basis, your side certainly uses it no matter how many lies are voiced. But, Kerry will neither mention nor condemn his own ads. He, the DNC and “mainstream leftist press” will never denounce them. They only want the President to be in an unfavorable position…not would-be King Kerry. Besides, if things don’t go the way Kerry wants them to go, he has a WMD of his own up his sleeve…he’ll CRY!
So, it’s business as usual in democrat la-la land and if Kerry gets in we’ll all be forced to live there. Even though the leftists demand it, whenever President Bush shows his profound leadership abilities the liberal/leftist contingents and minions hate him even more (if that’s even possible). You see, their candidate for “leader” isn’t one and, at his age, never will be.
Still holding your breath? Let it out. You’re turning purple. |
