I don't think that Jaffo is claiming that Sarasota is definitely using NRI products. C.A. advertises single sign on with just passwords. However, the potential for certain applications of NRI fingerimaging within the Unicenter system by Sarasota is a clear posibility. They may be able to use it for punching in and certain other actions that need security. The uses will increase as the price comes down. If the Veridcom deal comes through, then the potential for inexepsive scanners really increases.
People are entitled to speculate. I don't see this as much more speculative than Sylvan or INS is on your thread.
There are many companies coming out of the woodwork in the biometric field. However, developing effective trustworthy software is costly and time consuming. Getting people to accept it is a long process. It is not something that an organization can leave to chance. NRI has planted many seeds. Next year may be harvest time.
