murders, rapes, beatings,

I haven't done any research on this but would bet these are overwhelmingly alcohol related.

Robberies I'd put at the feet of the high price of the illegal drugs, artificially high because they are illegal. Rarely do I hear of a heist to satisfy the desire for a rum and coke.

My eight ball crack (1/8th of an ounce) was exactly as you took it. Legal or illegal, you are not inclined to do this drug. If everybody inclined to do the drug already does (a reasonably accurate assessment, I believe), why do you assume there would be a large increase in use if it were legal? You seem to be postulating a large unmet demand being kept in check by the illegality of the activity. I was just indicating that I thought this as unlikely as the prospect of the inner cocaine addict being unleashed in you if that legal barrier were removed. Since one of your fears seems to be that happening in the general population.

I knew I shouldn't have posted on this subject, regret it, and will stop now.

Just club 'em to death, get it over with. But please, please, please leave me my red joy stick.
