No. They will slowly persist upward. Gold isn't a speculation. Some mining companies will do better than others. Boring.

And that is all that needs to be added, just some more money.

Gold isn't rising due to financial forces. It's rising for the reason Ian Cockerell gave: the mines aren't producing enough and can't at the current price. The price has to rise until they can supply a lot more and/or less is demanded. Gold price fluctuations are definitely caused by world wide traders reacting to that which they think other traders will react trying to beat each other in order to scalp a few cents.
