Christine Qualcom is a good company with a good product and has a large customer base on CDMA. I am not qualified to give technical comparisons but basically CDMA is limited on bandwidth compared to TDMA. This limits the transmission of multiple data. There is a thread on IDC here at SI which has many technies who can explain. Basically the new broadband BCDMA can allow over double the transmissions of CDMA at present and soon can permit 7 times as much data.

This means on wire or wireless you can get data, digital TV, and phone all on one phone connection at the same time with no delay of each. Qualcomm customer base gives them an advantage over the wired market presently but cannot compare to price and quantity with BCDMA.

Sorta like disk storage space. Gets bigger and better as we progress and deman grows faster al the time. Wireless will be the big thing in unwire markets.
