Mr. Bean: You wrote: <Let the sales happen on good old fashion selling.> Bean, "old fashioned" selling will provide Corel with "old fashioned" results--losses. Old fashioned selling, if defined as putting up a sign for a lemonade stand, and expect people to buy, is not good enough for Corel. Right now there are many "lemonade" signs in the Suite Marketplace, and one of them is Microsoft. You will need to embrace all the creative, feature packed, emotionally appealing, and professional imagery Corel can muster to kick start WordPerfect Sales.
The Ottawa Citizen article yesterday even said that WordPerfect may even be a little better than the competition, but that there is currently no demand for it.
Look at Kurt Peterson's post #2504. If Corel embraces that idea, it will generate a renewal of enthusiasm for the product. Corel needs to make WordPerfect a whole lot better than the competition, which you know it can, and then promote the "dickens" out of it.
Your post was very thoughtful and I understood it "perfectly." Let's get the perfect word, as Kurt suggested, and run with it.
This causes me to say, to Alomex's shagrin, a very hearty . . .
Up, Up, and Away!
