Years ago I had a friend who was going to go to West Point and had a summer job in a nearby small town. Early morning he missed a stop sign and was T-boned by a truck on his cycle. He was DOA and we got sent out to pick up his bike. 42 years and I can't remember his name, just the leg that still was part of the bike. You have to stay sharp when riding a bike.
