What is it about liberalism that attracts techys? Because many of them achieved financial success not as a result of their own talents but by being in the right place at the right time? A woman in my former office used to comment about some of the MSFT tecchie types, "if they hadn't lucked into a job at MSFT, they'd be dishing out Slurpees at 7-11."
