Then when it ships you ask how soon G5 will come out. You wait -- what -- 6 years before upgrading? A company could go broke in a hurry catering to your needs. It's important not to miss the paradigm shift going on, For $6-8K you can get a Blue & White to run Final Cut Pro (Tekserve is demo-ing/configuring such systems) that offers 80% of the capability of your precious 5-slot $20-100K Avid system. An Altivec upgrade could close even that gap. Firewire and USB also are taking up lots of the PCI slot slack. Hey Eric, you figuring revenues for FCP -- and concurrent CPU sales? <<Good to see more technical discussion on this thread.>> Hey ... !
