There will indeed be some great bargains to be had for the long term, but don't grab too quickly to catch the falling knife. European markets as of this morning had dipped 6-8%, but had rebounded from their lows somewhat. This kind of global meltdown creates a mindset that is prone to further action. Even if things stabilize this week, any bit of negative news later on this month could reinitiate hemorrhaging. I'll try to limit my Nov. 47.5 call losses, since I don't see the stock getting back to those levels before expiration.
I have some Feb and May calls that are now out of the money, and will look to average down still again. I think 40 will be seen today, and in weeks to follow, if no news on European approval comes, wearied investors may continue to drop the stock. Upshot - don't spend it all in one place or at one time. We may not make money on this stock now, but we will if we continue to invest in it.
