I'll consider a position in United Rentals, and I'll make a small exploratory buy now.

It appears that the housing slowdown hasn't affected the company...yet. I'm hoping commercial construction and infrastructure maintenance/upgrading businesses will provide a supporting source of revenue. I am presuming (without any facts) that in bad times, the company has the option to move equipment from an underperforming geographical area to one with better business possibilities. Also, when times are tough, that the company has flexibility to defer purchases of new equipment (which they otherwise use cash flows for).

Business seems like it would be cyclical: Company is doing well now, and that makes it easier for financial numbers to show up in my screening quadrants. Which makes it more risky to buy now in the cycle. So very small bet only for me.
