The truth is that it is the very cities that are screaming for cash for safe drinking water that do a lot of the polluting.

Funny, I have an economics book by Gloria Hom that is used in a lot of colleges and universities that disputes your assertions that Reagan was solely responsible for our deficit.

The truth is that OJ prosecution team had a choice and they chose to plea bargain OJ away to a mostly female jury based on spousal abuse rather than choosing a jury that was to decide on a murder trial. It's one time the NOW gang took a rather huge black eye.

One thing I am sure of...I have been listening to a lot of people tell me that the bull market is over for about three years now and I still have no reason to believe them. Fact is inflation is low, corporate earnings are decent and interest rates are stable. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a "crash" anytime soon. All one has to do is look at the structure of financial markets and they will see that yes there is always going to be a correction but a full scale crash is unlikely. Too much money locked up in retirement funds, too many mutual funds that rely on stock purchases as their sole means of support and no where to dump the money into should they sell. The key I use is to look at alternative investments and ask myself if I or anyone else is going to be satisfied with 2 to 6 percent?

As for shorting, it's takes someone adept at the technique to make it pay off but just shorting Intuit isn't exactly what I would call a rounded portfolio. Might make you some money, but then what? The old saying still holds true..."It's not market timing but time in the market that counts."
