Mike, there wasn't enough information in the Sycamore release for me to make any assumptions. The Tellabs system is Sonet digital conversion. I am hoping the Sycamore release is leading to leaving the signal optical without converting it to Sonet Layer 1 digital,and running all services over the optical layer.But then again everyone is converting to digital signals to error check including HLIT working with VBITS. Hiram
