I am about to leave Czech Republic for Germany to work with Fixed Wireless. Floware is supplying Siemens with equipment which is now being implemented in Germany. As you know last year the licenses have been awarded.

So this thing promises. I am not saying that will take over the world, but is part of the last mile landscape offer. I am not saying ADSL is dead because of the nature of the work I do. I used to lobby for ADSL in 1996 in the pages of the Jakarta Post.

It is just that this technology is harming the Last Mile and the tecoms industry while it is purporting to be taking the world by storm.

There won't be a single technology that will win the day in the Last Mile space. There will be lots of technologies fighting there. This is very good for the industry, for consumers and for the economies of the countries on question.

But if we would depend on the ADSL coming to us we would end up in worth shape than in the case of having several technologies competing. We are all free market people aren't we?
