Network" concept for me? I keep seeing this on other
boards, Is there something here beyond the fact that
NOVL has the best NDS?>>

Well, to take a stab at this slogan . . .

While most people think of a network as the hardware it's built from, Novell wants people to see their network as something more than media (wires), routers and servers. They want people to think "network" but see "Novell" in their minds.

In other words, it's not the physical items that make up your network but rather the NOS and services it's running that make that network what it is. Anyone can put together the hardware and in some cases, using one brand of hardware vs it's nearest competitor are negliable. But whether you are running Novell or UNIX or Microsoft NOS ontop of that hardware makes the difference.

So, it's a combination of things from NDS and C2-class Security certification, to File and Print services to the complement of Novell products (BorderManager & ZENWorks/ManageWise, Netscape [Web]Servers, Oracle DB) available for customers to use.

It's like when someone claims something is the best in it's category, they call it the "Cadillac" of whatever. Why? Because of what Cadillac stands for in the American auto industry.

Novell wants people to think along those lines too. Then again, I'm not a marketing guru or even a student of it so . . .
