<"Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" is one of the main pillars that the leaning tower of the evolutionary theory of everything is based on. As such: it is perfectly reasonable to question the soundness of an edifice erected on such questionable foundations. That is not Ad Hominem, that's just prudent. > "Prudent" for what? To find the truth? NOT! Prudent for the protection of your beliefs... (ego) sure! What you are doing is attacking WHATEVER YOU CAN in order to make your version prove correct...(throw in ad hoc?) You are throwing out a whole area of biological study with TONS of good evidence in support by attacking Haekel's pictures as reason to discredit the whole field (pillar, as you say)... ie.
